has introduced three new products.

Fitting Cloud Inc. is a joint venture between FINDEX Inc. a specialist in medical information systems, and Kyoto University Original Co., Ltd. with extensive knowledge and R&D capabilities in various fields, not only in the medical field.

Fitting Cloud Inc. was established on April 1, 2021 as a R&D company to develop and provide a cloud platform to realize new communication between patients and hospitals, in addition to information integration and analysis of medical data within and across hospitals.

After about two years of R&D since its establishment, we are pleased to announce that the following three products have been completed and are now on the market.

Weberi

Internet Browsing Virtualization Service

For security reasons, most of medical institutions have difficulties in connecting to the Internet from electronic medical record (EMR) terminals. However, the reality is that Medical professionals often request to connect to the Internet to get the information timely. In response to such requests, Weberi has been created.
This feature enables secure Internet browsing from EMR terminals, and can be operated affordably by utilizing the cloud.

Bricks

Cloud-based general-purpose EDC/Questionnaire system

Bricks allows users to create EDC^*1 and medical questionnaire formats with simple and intuitive operations. The system is compliant with Two Guidelines from Three Ministries (2G3M)^*2, and the stored information is safely managed and can be used to collect information in collaborative studies. It also has an API^*3 for linking with other systems, providing a high compatibility with other systems.

Closed-cloud data storage

Valloon is a 2G3M compliant data storage service that utilizes a closed-cloud^*4. Not only can the capacity be expanded as needed, but also the use of object storage^*5 is a mechanism that can keep the cost down. The user experience is the same as for regular file storage even object storage is used.

• *1：EDC
  EDC refers to an Electronic Data Capture system, in which medical professionals involved in a clinical trial input the contents of clinical data on a laptop at a medical institution and electronically capture the data to a server via the Internet or a dedicated network.
• *2：Two Guidelines from Three Ministries (2G3M)
  2G3M refers to guidelines for the protection of medical information to be followed by providers who deal with medical information. Specifically, it refers to two guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC): " Guideline for the Security Management of Medical Information Systems” by the MHLW and “Safety Management Guideline for Information Systems and Service Providers Handling Medical Information" by METI and MIC. These guidelines were established to provide guidelines for medical institutions and system/service providers to operate and manage medical information systems in a safe and appropriate manner.
• *3：API
  API is an acronym for "Application Programming Interface," and each of the three words has the following meanings
  Application ・・・・・Software that runs inside computers and smartphones.
  Programming ・・・・Using a programming language to give instructions to computers and smartphones to perform.
  Interface ・・・・・・In IT sector, a connection or point of connection or contact between devices. Accordingly, API refers to some kind of "interface" or "point of connection" between software, programs, and web services.
• *4：Closed-Cloud
  In contrast to the public cloud space, a closed-cloud is a secure cloud space built by blocking access from the outside by using various cloud technologies.
• *5：Object Storage
  Object storage refers to storage that manages data in units of objects, instead of in units of files or blocks as previously used. Object storage does not have a hierarchical structure. Each object is stored flat and without any dependencies in the space where the object is stored, and data is moved in and out by assigning individual identifiers called object IDs.
